Terms of service
These are the terms every ZW Studios project runs on. The guarantee on the homepage is written here word for word — the big print and the small print match.
1. After the first design review, if you don't love the direction, you can walk away owing nothing beyond your deposit.
2. The remaining balance is only ever due once the finished website is in front of you.
ZW Studios is the design studio of Zach Welch, Glasgow, Scotland. You deal directly with the person doing the work, start to finish.
Every project gets a fixed written quote before any work starts, covering an agreed scope (pages, features and content). Quotes are valid for 14 days. There are no hidden costs: if you ask for something outside the agreed scope, we'll quote it separately before doing it — never after.
A 50% deposit books your slot and starts the work. The remaining 50% is due only after you've reviewed the finished website — before it goes live on your domain. Invoices are payable within 14 days.
Early in every project we present the design direction (the first design review). If you don't love it, you can end the project there. You owe nothing beyond the deposit, which covers the design work done to that point, and you're free to go elsewhere with no hard feelings.
Every project includes two rounds of revisions within the agreed scope. Further changes are welcome and quoted at an agreed hourly rate before we make them.
Every website includes 30 days of free bug fixes after go-live. Ongoing help — updates, Google visibility, monthly growth work — is available as a monthly service if you want it, and never required.
On full payment, the website, domain, content and every lead it generates are 100% yours. We retain the right to show the work in our portfolio and to a small "Website by ZW Studios" credit in the footer.
Monthly services run month to month with no minimum term. Cancel any time, effective at the end of the billing month — and everything we've built or earned for you (website, domain, Google profile, reviews, leads) stays yours.
We design and build everything to win you customers, and our clients' results are why we exist — but no honest studio can guarantee a specific number of enquiries, sales or rankings, so we never do. Anyone who does is telling you what you want to hear.
Our liability on any project is capped at the fees you've paid us for it. These terms are governed by the law of Scotland. Last updated July 2026.
